Mission:
Magma Nova is a nascent design & innovation studio for open source sustainability, that turns wasted resources into new biodegradable materials and objects.
With our community of biologists, bio-engineers, material scientists, makers, designers and architects, we seek to co-create a new sense of materiality.
Cooperating with nature, we transform urban, agricultural and food waste into bio-materials for applications in art, architecture and design. Connecting the end of the cycle with the beginning and thus making it a circular system.
Our mission is to allow a new generation of designers to expand their abilities and move into new styles by designing things that get shaped by organisms.
We position ourselves at the intersection between design, biology and digital fabrication.
