Community owned hotel. The Sliabh Beagh Hotel Monaghan and Tourism Centre. Failte Ireland Approved located in Knockatallon, north County Monaghan, is Ireland’s only community owned hotel. It was the brainchild of Knockatallon Development Committee, which was established in 1994 with the aim of regenerating the area. However the Hotel & Tourism Centre has surpassed all expectations since opening its doors in July 2000.
